Who are we?

Talita Cumi CR is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering through educational tools. We’re here to give people the opportunity to overcome life’s obstacles and achieve their full potential, no matter what their background or circumstances are. We accomplish this mainly through our educational programs, helping people from around the world to develop important skills and find hope for a brighter future. Join us in our journey to make a positive impact in the world.

Volunteering

Support from volunteers is what drives Talita Cumi CR. Both though our volunteer programs fro individuals and workplace volunteering. Click below and we’ll reach out to you as soon as possible.

Volunteer

Your contribution will help individuals in need by providing online language learning scholarships, couseling & psychology scholarships, therapy, online support groups, mental health & well being, online workshops, educational programs, medical treatments, and NPO training programs. As well as extracurricular activities such as cooking, music, job interview preparation, GED exam preparation, among others.

 FAQs

  • We have a list of projects, granters, and programs. You can decide towards which of those your money will go (sponsor a student, develop a project, seminars, trips, etc). However, if your donation is made with an unspecified purpose, you will receive news from us indicating details of your donation. You can request a summary report of your contributions at any time.

  • As little or as much as you can give. You will always receive a receipt for your tax exemption records.

  • You can donate by PayPal, credit card, check or electronic transaction. You may donate once or become a regular donor.

  • We have different programs for helping people. You can take part in those programs by giving seminars in our support groups, tutoring students, preparing teaching material, participating in missionary trips, immersion trips, among other activities according to your experience and skills. 

    Please, email us at admin@talitacumicr.org with the subject “I want to be a volunteer” providing the following information:

    • Full name

    • Age

    • Address

    • Curriculum Vitae

    • Background check (if you wish to work with minors)

    • Cover letter describing your motivation and passion to work with us

    We will contact you back as soon as possible.

  • It depends on the trip and the funding we use to sponsor the trip. If the granters and donors for the trip cover the expenses of a volunteer, then the answer is yes. If the funding cannot cover that, the volunteer must cover their own expenses as part of their donation. In any case, a volunteer can choose to pay for their own expenses, and you will receive a report of volunteer hours and your equivalent dollar amount of contribution to be used for your tax exemption records.

  • Preferably +18 but it varies by project, we can accept younger volunteers in the company of a guardian.

  • Helping others is a humanitarian act that comes from the heart and we won’t limit it necause of personal beliefs. Everyone who feels like giving a hand and meets the requirements to be part of our programs is more than welcome to become a volunteer with us.

  • Background checks for volunteers in contact with minors are required. Your curriculum vitae and cover letter indicating your motivation and passion for participating in our programs. Some granters require additional information for specific projects, in which case, the volunteer will be notified of additional requirements if needed.

  • Send us a message explaining your current situation and why you need our help. Make sure that you indicate a working email and/or phone number for us to contact you at. We will strive to find the means and hands to be there for you. We believe that abundance, love, peace, and well being is available to all and it is flowing your way right now!
