Today we want to tell you about one of the many wonderful people you are helping when you generously donate via Talita Cumi, her name is Angelica. Angelica is an adult woman in Costa Rica who never had the privilege of receiving any formal education in the school system. Her situation left her unable to participate in this essential formative experience that empowers individuals to then go on and thrive in the marketplace in their adult lives and thus make a good living for themselves and their families. As well as being a part of the broader elements of society and having a positive sense of self-esteem, confidence and optimism.

In 2025, Talita Cumi found out about this and decided to step in and help Angelica finance her education as well as the surrounding costs like books, backpacks, uniforms, supplies, notebooks, etc. She is now going through the curriculum at the school called "Escuela Heroes de Chepe Se Baña" earning good grades, completing homework assignments and learning essential life skills and core knowledge that will enable her to live a better life. She is taking classes such as Math, Science, Spanish, Civics and Social Studies of which her favorite is Spanish. She also participates in the school's musical band with her friends and classmates, playing the instrument of "tambor tenor".

She is close to completing her primary education after which she will proceed to her secondary education (high school), thus once she earns her diploma she will not only be a more educated and skilled individual, but she will also be eligible for a lot more employment opportunities in the job market, and will forever carry this very important education with her to empower her in life. Thanks to the efforts of Talita Cumi and its supporting donors, Angelica and many people like her will be able to escape a life of struggle and hardship, and start to enjoy a life of stability, peace and happiness.
